i have a 2002 325i, the drivers seat needs to be dyed on a little spot the size of a quarter
my question is, does anyone know if leatherique's light grey dye is the same grey that bmw uses
or does anyone know where i can get a dye to match it, i know leatherique can custom match, but i can't send them a 1 inch by 1 inch sample of my seat, lol
I'm pretty sure that they would have samples there that they could match it with. I would call and double check. They will probably want you to take a picture of the leather and send it to them.

Well you can get leatherique in grey, apply it to a separate sample leather piece or piece of paper and see if it matches.
If not, if its too dark, get some white leatherique, mix it into the grey--and vice versa if its too light get some black and mix it in yourself and match it.

Leatherique has their own standard colors, or they can mix a custom color. They have information on the specific factory colors for most models that you can get by giving them the identifying information on the color in question.
Call them and they'll give you the scoop.

You might be able to find a bit of leather under the seat that you could cut and send to them to color match.
Or you could just go with their stock color. It would look better to have a light or dark spot that a spot with no dye.
