Going to be there from Wednesday to whenever (either Sat or Monday) depending on how George Washington does in the NCAA.

Any recommendations on good restaurants/sightseeing/bars/hangouts?

-Palm Steakhouse - downtown next to the Gaylord Entertainment Center off of Broadway (they have a pretty good bar as well)
-DiVinchi's Pizza - Best pizza in town, has new plasma tv's for the NCAA games (off West End Ave, on Hayes St)
-The more trendy bars are in the Vanderbilt/Hillsboro Village area, there's a great restaurant for beer called Boscos (brew their own beer)
-On Demonbruen St. (almost downtown), there is a row of pretty good bars and restaurants (Tin Roof is a popular spot, college crowd)
-The bars downtown are a different kind of crowd, which you might be into, party crowd, the best bar downtown is Buffalo Billards, the upstairs bar is more toned down than the downstars bar.

Hey, thanks for the info.

Found out that the team (and the band, which I am in) will be staying at the Marriott next to the airport (joy :rolleyes) so I am doubtful that I will be able to get toany of these places :(

There's also a full-scale replica of The Parthenon on the Southwest side of town in a big park. Pretty cool place, has a museum inside, and the interior is supposed to be pretty accurate as to how the Greeks built theirs (aside from the electric lights and A/C, of course ;) ).

But it's a very cool place to visit. :buttrock

the best thing to do in Nashville, is jump on the #4 shelby bus, and take a ride through the hood
