I have searched the underside of my car, all 3 of the "top" BMW forums and even Googled for this anwser. - Where is the radiator drain plug on a 2001 750? My 740 has it on the bottom of the radiator and I have used it many times BUT on my '50 it is nowhere in sight and trust me I have looked.....will I need to use the block drains? :mad

Anybody have the TIS information for draining the coolant out of a 2001 750?

Thanks for your help! :buttrock

You're going to kick yourself when you go look at it again. Driver's side on the bottom, see that little hose - twist and remove.

On my 740, yes it is on the bottom drivers side, but my 750?.... I must have missed it :rolleyes Wait a minute you don't mean the lower Radiator hose do you? It has a metal retaining clip that you lift up on then you twist the lower radiator hose and remove it, but this is not a "drain" like my 740!?!?!

Thanks for your input!!

Removing the lower rad hose will definitely drain it pretty quick, but on the the very bottom is what I'm referring to. Probably only a 1/4" hose. It goes over to an oil cooler.

Here we go, found the pic - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=GJ03&mospid=47533&prod=20000700&btnr=17_0162&hg=17&fg=05 - the little guy that goes to #4.

I think I removed the hose from the cooler actually, it has a quick release.
