I tried to order some from tire rack as everyone raves about how much better they are than other street/track tires, but could not come up with a fitment for our wheels. I tried a 245/45 in the rear and 225/40 in front, but Tire rack said they could not hold the weight of the car.

I need some street/track tires until I get a second set of wheels and I have always loved the feel of Khumos

i heard some run 245/40 in the front and 275/35 in the rear.

245/40 in the front and 275/35 in the rear is the ticket.

Personally I'd run 265's all around but they are a little big for the 8" fronts and probably aren't ideal for the track.
