View Full Version : Newbie w/cinnamon interior questions...

I'm new to the forum and I've already done a search for "cinnamon interior" threads but still feel compelled to ask a couple of questions:

1) How many different exterior colors have been available w/cinnamon interior?

Reason for asking is b/c when you go to bmwusa.com and do a configuration for an 05 M3, only jet blk, white, and carbon blk are indicated as available with that interior. I think this car would look sweet in blue (either one) w/cinnamon.

2) I went to a local dealer this past weekend who showed me an '02 w/cinnamon, but the seats back were in blk. The exterior was jet blk. I've seen pics here and elsewhere, however, that show solid cinnamon seats. Do only certain model years have the solid seats?

3) I've noticed silver metallic w/cinnamon and blk (either one) w/cinnamon, but no other colors. If someone else has a different exterior color than these w/ cinnamon, did you special order and if not, what year is your car?

If these issues have been discussed elsewhere, I apologize in advance. A little background on me:

I have owned two bimmers, an '00 323ci, which I sold to buy my current '01 330i when I got married. I'm divorced now, so I want to go back to a coupe. I'd rather do an '02 or '03 M3 than a new ci, so I'm beginning my research.

All my cars have been blk exterior/tan interior, regardless of type. The list:
'90 Plymouth Laser (not as bad as you might think for a starter car);
'94 Jeep GC Ltd.;
'95 Acura Integra GS;
'00 323ci; and
'01 330i.

Thanks for reading. I look forward to any helpful responses.

My understanding is that you can get any color combination you want you really have to pressure your dealer for it though and/or pay. Money talks. Otherwise the guy who ordered my car wouldn't have gotten the imola red with cinnamon i'm guessing.

Wow! Red w/cinnamon! I'm guessing no one else in Chicagoland has that combo!

I won't be ordering since I am looking used. I just wanted to know if I should bother looking for anything but CB since that is the only identified available color on the website that I like. I might go for the AW exterior with it IF I was getting the convertible, but I'm not.

I think CB is my first choice but I would like to see any blue exterior w/cinnamon before deciding.

I think this car would look sweet in blue (either one) w/cinnamon.

It shows as available with interlagos blue. And indeed it is sweet.
That's how I've ordered mine. You have good taste ;)

I haven't heard from my salesguy, so I'm assuming everything is OK.
But, damn, now you have me worried...

Yeah I have seen an M3 with Mystic blue/Cinn., it looked sweet. Regarding the seat backs, the site shows that the backs are indeed the same color as the leather, they are not. I think that the only interior that comes in one color is dove gray. My seats have a nice contrast of black on the backs. I think Cinnamon or Imola red interior is the way to go since they contrast very well with the black console/dash etc...
It is going to be difficult to find Cinnamon with anything other than jet black, carbon, and alpine white...besides Pcone, and I, we have some uncommon exterior combos w/cinn.

Absolutley, the contrast with the cinnamon or the red is a no-brainer it really makes the interior special on the car. I personally don't like the gray interior but everyone likes something differnet. I've seen the cinnamon on CB and it looks really cool. Blue would be very cool, especially with the interlagos.

Rommel,

Thanks for the reply. I tried it again and it shows (on my computer at least) that interlagos blue is not available w/cinnamon.

Bren,

Thanks for the links. At least I now know that I can expand my search to include other exterior colors. I'm very particular about the options I want, so I'm more willing to compromise on whether to get one of the blacks or one of the blues. :cool

Thanks to everyone for the replies.

asindc,

Go to BMWUSA.COM. Click on "build your own BMW" Click on M3 Coupe.
Click Interlagos Blue. Then click on Cinnamon (first box).

Perhaps you're clicking on the interior color first. That'll shut down the blue.
But even then, just click on the aluminum trim and it should open the blue back up.

I guarantee this will work :)

You're right, it did show up that time. Interestingly enough, the other blue still shows as not available but I think that looks good with cinnamon as well. That Interlagos Blue has me really thinking about getting a non-black car for the first time.
