On our M's how many miles can we average per tank? How many gallons are our tanks? Does anybody really get 22 MPG?
I need to know this to determine when I pick my 05 up will it be cheaper to fly to Florida from Oklahoma or drive. I am leaning towards flying (cheaper) but I would love to roll back home in style!!! Plus I want to race my old Stang I sold to my friend!! Traction is my advantage, even with the Nitto 555 drag radials on my ol Stang...

Yeah, you can get about 360 if you are highway driving. That is a pretty far drive though, for a car without any miles.

I get between 280 miles and 310 miles per tank. On average, just short of 20 MPG. The tank capacity is 17 US gallons.

with the K&N intake and Borla exhaust I am getting 26.7 mpg on the highway and about 18 in the city

In the 02 i was getting 21.5 average. When i bought it in buffalo and drove it back home it was 365 miles and i made it on one tank..average was 24.5. Really depends on how you are driving, i have no doubt the m3 is capeable of 28-30 if you set the cruise at 65mph. But somehow i could never stick to that. :D

My best was almost 390 miles to a full tank!! But, of course I set the cruise at around 65mph as mentioned above, very boring with this car! :) But, I did that just to see what kind of mileage I would get driving very conservatively back and forth to work, ~74 miles roundtrip.. :cool Needless to say, I am back to about 320 - 360 miles per tank and again that's using cruise, on occasion.

I think I might be going back to the 320 to a tank, it's hard driving this car so slowly. :evil2

I get about 320 on a tank in mixed driving (the gauge reads 1/4), and I can average about 22 to 24mpg if I am nice. Usually I get about 20mpg.
