I have a 99 323i with factory xenons. About a minute after I turn them on, the drivers side will go out. Usually if I just turn them off, and back on, it will stay on, sometimes I'll have to do this a second time.

Any thoughts?

Xenon balasts, maybe?

my 323i 99er also did this. i replaced the buld that i bought from another member(used) and it has been 1 year since. still working

Where did you buy the new bulb? That's probably cheaper place to start than the ballast.

I agree it sounds like a balast. I would have it checked at the dealer before I did anything.
