Had a thought(scarey huh?) I just bought an Infinity Perfect 12.1 and am thinking of building a nice bullet-proof box for it. They recommend a 1.0ft^3 sealed enclosure for it, easy enough, but is the 1.0ft^3 BEFORE or AFTER the displacement of the sub's magnet/basket? READ: do I have to take the sub's magnet and basket into consideration when building the 1.0ft^3 internal volume sealed enclosure? Or is the 1.0ft^3 internal volume recommended without the sub installed? THANX!

I am assuming the 1 cubic ft spec is the "minimum" recommended, right?
If so, give serious consideration to going bigger - because the minimum volume will give you a minimally "musical" enclosure - more like a boomy mid bass box. The hot "fad" now is small box compatible drivers, and the manufacturers are kinda exagerating how small a box you can use...
Check with Infinity what the maximum volume they recommend, and build your box nearer that end of the range if you want best (re: most accurate) bass and can afford to sacrifice the space.

Nope, the 1ft^3 is THE internal volume, max and min....
