Man, Tom Williams BMW is awful. Saturday morning around 11:30 I called to see if they had something I needed. I called 3 different phone numbers I got from their terrible website and when I called information, one of them was their 800 number. The phone range about 25 times before I hung up, the last call the operator told me to try my call later and cut me off after listening to about 2 minutes of ringing. So I drove down there only to find they didn't have these parts in stock anyway. I never heard the phone ring the whole time I was in there and it was empty, all these employees but hardly any customers. I asked the parts desk guy, who for some reason was completely unable to make eye contact, if the phones worked. He assured me they did. When I told him I was unable to reach at any of the 3 numbers he said I should have held on the phone longer. When I told him I was on the phone for about 25-30 rings and finally got cut off by the operator he simply replied with "Sometimes we get calls and you should just try back. You want to go ahead and pay for these so I can order them for you?" I said no thanks and walked off.
Not only did I drive 20 minutes to find out they didn't have what I needed and that a phone call would have prevented me from doing so, but this twerp behind the counter was accusing me of not knowing how to operate my phone or being ridiculously impatient. As I walked outside 4 of their sales people were chatting in the lot, no customers within 5 miles, so I approached and asked if they worked there or where just hanging out. I then told them there phones didn't work and that may be why they are so bored, I got strange looks like I had a spider tattoo'd on my forehead so I turned and walked away. As I was walking away one guy said something like "Of course our phones work, I used it a little while ago." while another guy called in on his cell to discover nobody answered. When I heard him tell the other 3 geniuses what I just told them I just said "Nice work jackass!". And drove 20 minutes back home. I just ordered all the parts I needed from Munich Motorsport this morning OVER THE PHONE ;)

Tom Williams definitely sucks. From now on, Munich Sport is the only place I will be taking my baby. I'm actually going there tomorrow or Weds to have some s.s. brake lines and an xbrace installed. :buttrock

I'll never go there again, that's for sure. Towsend in T-town seems reasonable, it just sucks that I live 3 miles from Williams and yet have to drive 60 miles to get my car serviced.

Being that I'm in deepest-darkest Helena its probably about the same distance for me to drive to Tuscaloosa if I need something on a Saturday. Its really quite sad, I went from having an excellent dealer in KC that was very club friendly, even hosting our Christmas dinner every year at the dealership, to one of the worst dealers in the southeast.

I know a Tom Williams. He's an adopted Korean kid. I haven't had any problems with him. In fact, I like him.

Munich Sport is the way to go when you need parts. Jack and Matt really have things down over there, that's why I continue to do business with them.
