Unusually rainy here in SoCal, but the wet weather makes for some great photo opportunities! I usually post pics of BMWCCA events, but I thought you guys/gals might like to see these pics from a recent SCCA event :D :

That picture reminds me - i have to go downstairs and wash the car this morning :D

What a disasterous autocross this turned out to be for me. It started to rain after i got in line to take my runs. I ran later in the rungroup and by then the course was starting to flood in several areas and cars were throwing up rooster tails crossing the small rivers. I never drive this car in the rain so i didn't know i had a problem with my wipers until i got out on course - they randomly shut themselves off after about 10 seconds of use and won't respond to frantic flicks of the lever until they're good and ready! The course was very poorly designed and hard to follow as it was and the rain made things worse. Between the confusing course and huge plumes of water spashing up on my windshield with the malfunctioning wipers i felt it safest to abandon my last run so i don't run over any course workers. I had to almost stop on course because i couldn't see - it was that bad. Besides, my competitors had the good fortune of taking a few of their runs before the rain got real bad so there was no way i was going to get a better time anyway.

The wiper problem made it scary to drive home too. Luckily the traffic was heavy and relatively slow the whole way home, but what is normally a one-hour drive took almost 3 hours that night.

Thanks for the pictures Albert, your dedication is appreciated :D

Mmmm.... I love Auto-X!

Those rain days help when you run street tires... especially in a sticky tire class (we no longer separate my class up here) :D

Awesome pics by the way!

Wow!!

Reminds me of the Atlanta Pro Solo last year. There was a damn river running through the course, and not to mention, the corner I had to work. But man was it a blast.
