hey guys,

ripped out the entire back seat of the car to make room for the rollbar. i was thinking of doing the rest (seats harness and rollbar) tomorrow. but i was wondering where exactly do you mount the inside lap belt? i was looking and it doesnt look like theres a hole or screw on that side that you could thread the eye bolt into. thanks for your help also the seat bracket has a metal piece that looks like it would be used for something like mounting a belt, but i figured it has to mount into the chasis some how like the other eyebolt does and lap bolt does.

You'll need to drill a hole and mount a bolt with a large backing plate.

When I had my cage installed recently, they welded in plates with threaded bungs for the lap belts. This positions the mounting points correctly and spreads the load. The plates are ~ 3" square.

i spoke with hms today, and their opinion was since the brackets i have for the seats(i believe they are sparco) has an actually spot for the harness. basically the same spot that the stock seat belt braket has to, they said i could mount it there since its made to withstand the load. any opinions on this. sorry i cant show pics, i have some but no way to upload them right now. thanks guys

Nice pics. I've got an OMP bucket to mount too. Which make & model sliding rail & base mount did you use? On the closeup pic of the driver' seat base, what's the metal tab on the left lower for? How's the overall seat height vs. stock?

i have recaro sliders and a sparco seat mount i think.

no clue what the metal tabs are for, maybe if you were using a stock 3 pont belt you could mount the receptor there.

seat height is a little lower(depending on how high you had the stock ones to begin with)

Do you have another nut and washer on the other side of that? If not, your eye bolt is essentially hanging by those two dinky tack welds on that nut.
