So I'm driving on the 5 north to LA for work yesterday, it's raining on and off and traffic is flowing about 60 or so. This S4 Touring comes up really fast and blows past me on the right. Not very safe given the conditions.

A few minutes later traffic slows to a crawl and I end up next to him. I look over and he's got his finger up his nose to like the second knuckle!!! I immediately honk my horn and when he looks at me I do the fake nose-pick thing and give him a big ol' thumbs-up!

An hour later I'm at the deposition waiting for everyone to show up and the dude walks in!! He's one of the other attorneys! He takes one look at me and turns all red, walks up to me and says "I'll buy you lunch if you don't say anything to anyone about this." Gotta love a free lunch! :buttrock

He was sooooooo embarassed. I kept noticing that he'd be about to rub his nose and would realize what he was doing, look at me and really quickly pull his hand away.

Tell him he can buy lunch, so long as it's not something you guys have to share with your hands, like a pizza, etc... :D

Poor guy. That should teach him a good lesson. You never know who is watching you. Congrats on the free lunch, I think. ;)

He still owes me lunch. I couldn't sit across from him and eat after that.

You should just tell him to mail you a check or gift certificate for the lunch because you are too revolted to sit near him and eat. Although if you do that he may change his mind about the lunch.

I have to agree with the consensus. Great story. I kept putting off reading it, thinking it was going to be another race. This made me crack up.

OT, Dave, I like the new sig also.

Sort of. He's another attorney on a case I'm working on. There are about 12 parties in this lawsuit so there are usually at least 12 attorneys at the depositions and stuff. I had his e-mail so I sent him the Queen picture from Dwayne!! :D

He figured ne needed to befriend Yeti ASAP.

Wow, 12 lawyers... what kind of lawsuit is it?

I pleaded a case recently where we were 5 lawyers, that was cool. Pricey though.

I represent a commercial landlord who is in a dispute with a number of tenants. Most of the attorney's there were young pups who would have given him endless grief!! If you figure they're running at $200/hour average for 12 lawyers for 6 hours that's $14,400!! :wow

$200 an hour? Thats pretty cheap by our office's standard.

It is but a number of the attorneys were first and second year associates and insurance counsel to boot. I bill out at more than $200/hour but I've been at it for a while.
