View Full Version : I drove it ..
Turturelo 02-23-2005, 03:23 AM It's brilliant, fabulous, magnificent car .. I drive all of them the 320i, 325i, 330i and the 320d ..
I tell you 330i is revving like a M3 .. this inline 6 has no time to waste .. no dalay, nothing tipical for the old inline 6's. You push the throttle and the rev counter goes nuts .. I don't have words for this car. It is very different from the pictures. I honestly doesn't like the rear lights, it's is ok alive, like natural part of the car. With Active steering and dynamic drive it very very easy to drift ..
I also have video with revving 330i but it is 1mb and I don't know is it possible to post it ..
///Mr. Three 02-24-2005, 05:46 PM Cool, thanks for the pics.

Thanks for posting. A couple of questions. Did you drive the 330i with Sport Package and was their a significant degradation in ride quality vs. the normal suspension? Lastly, what colors looked the best? I am leaning towards the Titanium Silver.
Z3speed4me 02-24-2005, 07:58 PM they come wit angel eyes now huh...didnt know that...looks kinda good
Rakshas 02-24-2005, 09:43 PM Damn, with clear corners that thing is beautiful.
Holy..... that thing looks AMAZING in real photos. Honestly wasn't too sure now, and I'm a pretty big bangle supporter.
Turturelo 02-25-2005, 09:38 AM Thanks for posting. A couple of questions. Did you drive the 330i with Sport Package and was their a significant degradation in ride quality vs. the normal suspension? Lastly, what colors looked the best? I am leaning towards the Titanium Silver.
Yes I drive exactly 330i with the Sport Package (Dynamic Drive and Active Steering also) and it is very stable on road. The ride quality is perfetc, but by the way I like more stiffer suspension, so it's perfect for me. I'm pretty sure that there is no big difference between normal and sport suspension.
About the colours - I think very light colours like titanium silver is the most suitable colour, also very dark ones suits very nice too. So choose betweein very light and very dark colours. The E90 is very very very beutiful car! I can't believe how perfect they made it.
About the angel eyes .. like in E87 (1Series) if you purchase xenon light there is angel eyes, in E90 is the samo, but I tell you with normal headlights half of the beauty of the front of the car is gone ..
I'll put picture of the interior (without console display and iDrive), with iDrive it seems like E60 inside .. very similar, I honestly prefer it without the display.. Also I'm posting the exhaust pipes of the 330i after 10 min of "my" driving :stickoutt .. The engine is shutted down .. smoke still comes out :D
Z3speed4me 02-25-2005, 12:17 PM ok so why is there smoke commin out??? and that front right light looks like it has water in it...is that just the picture??
builder 02-25-2005, 12:32 PM how does the 325i drive? Can you compare to the E46
Radox5 02-25-2005, 12:42 PM This new E90 looks like the new Acura TL.
M-Theory 02-26-2005, 12:15 AM It looks like a great graduation gift.

new car .. a lot of extreme driving = smoke ... every time! There are some lubricants which start to smoke from the heat! About the front right head light - the car preserved with special wax, to protect it from scratches during transportation, I clean the left headlight to take a clear picture of the angel eyes .. that's why it look different

I has almost the same performance, very different exhaust sound from the 330i .. The 325 is smooth and quiet. I guess BMW bets on 330i like top of the class car.
There is something interesting - it is function of the DSC that comes only on 6 cyl engines, if you stop on hill, you push clutch and brake, then if you release the brake, car starts rolling back, BUT in E90 (only 6 cyl) the DSC still holds the brakes and you have 2 seconds to engage the throttle. It is very comfortable hint for inexperienced drivers .. my girlfriend just loved it :stickoutt
skyflyer 02-26-2005, 03:39 AM is there any e90 coupe version or they (bmw) are going to code name it differently (4 series) as i had been told... :confused
John H 02-26-2005, 05:30 AM \With Active steering and dynamic drive it very very easy to drift ..

Hill holder. The Subaru Foresters with a manual transmission have that. I think it is a really hot feature. Wish my new E46 m3 had it. :(
