well, ill call this a kill becuase it killed me laughing.
i have afriend in school and we were doing some work on his civic, its a nice civic SI, blue, all stock out side with a greddy race exhaust and kn intake. sounds somwhat mean, not ricey at all. i always liked his car a bit and was always told it was "fast"... well, we took it out after class and he took me for a ride, my jaw droped, i coudlnt belive how slow the car was, and its got a rep at our school of being one of the quicker hondas. i told em we should race, im positive i could grab at least 3-4 cls on him. make no mistake it sounds mean, and almost looks the part, but power just aint there. i guess the 165 horse 1.6dohc vtec is just not enough for it. he says it weighs almost 3 grand. yea just thought i should share that, i rarely race hondas and and even rarly caught in one, so i dont really have a conception of their power output.

What did you expect out of a 1.6-liter N/A car?

Actually whats killing him isnt the fact that it has 165 hp because for a civic that is enough, it's the fact that the car weighs almost 3K. Now 165 hp in a 2K pound civic is a completely different story of course. Tell him to drop a thousand pounds of fat :D and it wont feel too sluggish anymore.

Of course in the old CRX Si that's enough horsepower, but we all know the new civics are no major lightweights...

Funny you should mention it because I outran one a few times on the way home tonight. It was blue too, and it had been debadged, but there was gummy material where the Si badge was and it had the Si wheels. It sounded pretty good for a 4 cylinder. Not bad, but I didn't launch, just floored it shortly after takeoff and put a few carlengths on him.

Not really a Kill Story, not really involving BMW's...
