I know you should use studs whenever possible, but in this situation, how important is it? What is everyone else using?

Stock exhaust manifold uses studs...why would you take those out to use bolts?

Its just a stronger connection. I was wondering weather or not it was neccessary to go with studs, or could I get away with the Grade 8 bolts that I had already bought.

They'll both work. Stop sweating the small stuff... put it all together already :D

No I agree not to sweat the small stuff.(obviously from my ghetto-ass setup) Its just that if you dont use a well grade bolt, it will sieze in the threads from the temps. Thats why studs work well-

Everyone I know uses bolts and hasn't had any problems.

Don't get me wrong, everything is in the details, but not whether you should use a bolt or a stud :)

Studs are just easier since you don't have to spend as much time trying to line up the heavy parts.... it's kind of like putting on your wheels with bolts or studs... studs are easier.
