i haven't been on the forums in over 8 months so i didn't knwo it was for sale.

The only thing i don't like about Geordie's is the miles. I know its been taken care of EXTREMELY well but i'm looking for something with under 50k miles this time

You could make the arguement the other way. G's done all the updates/repairs (cooling, suspension, etc) therefore it could be the better buy (especially when its $5k less). Plus its already got the M50 installed, stgII software and a low mileage set of Koni Adj's....a great start if you plan on modding.

Sounds like a bad idea.

Just wait it out, and buy yourself something really nice when you graduate. Finishing school will be one of the most determining factors in your earning potential over the next 30-40 years. Should be well worth it to bite the bullet and get'er dun. Get an M3 some other day, don't be hasty.

Heh! College is the Era of Crap Rides. I drove a '79 Thunderbird uber-pimpmobile, but sold it when I went overseas (dumb!). Upon my return, while working to buy it back, I alternated between family members' borrowed vehicles. The one I got most often was an ancient, rusty, tan-and-yellow Chevy Silverado pick-up truck. It had belonged to my late grandfather, who was a good, hard working, stand-up guy, so there was no shame in it or anything. But it was certainly not a ride designed for the effective "picking-up" of da laydeez. :stickoutt

Your life is your own, but fwiw, I'd say bide your time, stay in school, and do it right.

BAH! i've done this school thing before and I'm about to get a raise that would just over the raise in car payment and insurance. I'm one of those people that prides his whole ego on his car so I gotta get outta this Jetta. The 2.9 inches of caked on dirt is not popular with said "ladies" :boobies

If you get a good education and save for a bit you will get a car you really want and have the money to go with it. Also, I would not mind a Jetta 1.8T (chip it if you have not already)... I had a 2000 A4 1.8T and it was a great car. Or now that I think about it buy my A4, it is only $11K... As for Geordie, I hate that person... He put his car up for sale just after I bought my M3 (this is why I hate him). I searched for months and I wanted that exact car!!!

Even though that car has been sold, talk to Robbie at Select and he can probably find another one for you in the same price range and same prestige condition.
