I was trying to see if there was any interest in a meet this weekend, but continued on the wrong thread, it was more of a MD/VA area.

Would anyone in and around Philly be interested in meeting up this SAt.? Should be nice, sunny and in the mid 40's.

Champps is a sports bar in front of the movie theater/best buy at KOP mall. Good food, good beer on tap. Much better than Houli's of (blech) Chilis

Guiness, I see your post, just can't help you. 1) I'm not sure where Meadowbrook is and 2) they've done so much construction around that K of P area in the last few years, I'm not sure how to do it. (I grow up around there, but don't go over there much).

From Philly, just take 76 west to the King of Prussian/Rt. 202 exit. Not sure of the exit number, but once you find the K of P mall, you're practically right there.

Are you going to be coming up 95? I mean 676 is just a small stretch of road that connects 76 and 95.

However take 676 West to 76 West. Take 76 West towards, I think it says Valley Forge. Stay on 76 for whats probably 25 miles, it will seem longer, then you'll be approaching the PA turnpike and there will be a huge division. Stay right as there is a combined exit for 202, Mall Blvd, 422, and Swedesford Road. You are going to want to take 202 South towards West Chester. It is kind of hard to explain how the interchange is set up. You will get off of 76W and you will be on an exit that consists of two lans. There will first be an exit for 202N and the KoP mall, then there will be an exit that is two lanes You'll want to be in the left hand lane as you turn which will drop you off onto 202S. Its pretty clearly marked. Im sorry if the over explanation is confusing. Once on 202S you're going to want to get off at the Valley Forge Road exit. I'm not too sure what number it is. However after you merge onto PA Rt. 202 it will be the first exit, so stay to the left and look for it. When you get off the exit there will be traffic to merge with and a stop light. At the stop light you want to turn right(you can only turn right from the right hand lane) and that will take you directly into the southern part of the park. Where exactly they are going to meet I'm not sure. However, you can get anywhere in the park from there.

If you are coming up 95 there are a lot easier ways to get to VF park. I have no idea where Meadowbrook is, but if you give me a general idea I might be able to help.

I don't think we have a place to meet yet. How about if we meet at the Kennedy Supplee Restaurant. the address is 1100 W Valley Forge Rd. It's right on the outskirt of the park, then once we meet we can roll to a parking lot in the park itself.

The restaurant looks like a big old grey house (I think) and they have a big parking lot; meet in the corner farthest from the restaurant itself. I'm in a dakar yellow M coupe, and my cell is 267-847-2141. Let's say 3:45-4:00, unless someone wants to change this.

Unfortunatley, no it is not the Cosmos one. About 2.5 weeks ago I took interest in a TV 98 M3. However this past week has been rather rocky with the seller unsure if he wanted to sell or not. Well, yesterday he decided he wanted to sell. I'm trying to decide if I still want to buy and have to go about making sure I can get the car here and registered legally. Its been quite the fiasco.

Yes, this place is by the mall. I was out last night and my friend said the Kennedy Supplee restaurant is out of business, but the structure and parking lot is still there.

If I'm not mistaken, once you leave the mall, head toward the VF convention center, whatever road that is, then pass it and the place will be on your right, just as you enter the park.

Yo, that power line that we were worried about initially turned out being pretty cool, look how it disects the building, top to bottom and left to right.

It was very cool meeting everyone, hope we can do it again in the spring.

I was trying to think of a way to bring us together better next time, more specifically, those under 21 and those over. As the oldest one there, I came up with this: Next time, the weather won't be as cold, so we should do a BBQ type thing (like a tailgate). We'll get the core 8-10 of us and plan what to bring, and grill food and bring beer/soda *wink*. Also, may a ride where we can open it up a litte, ie- down the turnpike an exit or two.

Also, Dru and I are open to people driving our cars, so if you ever wanted to feel the difference between an S52 and S54 M coupe, next time will be your opportunity.

The BMWCCA has several times had BBQs at the park on River Road in Gladwyne. I'm pretty sure they have BBQ pits there or we can bring our own. I don't know if we could have beer there though, I know we never have in the past.

Oh, and speaking of BMWCCA, if you all aren't members, now is a great time to join. It's a good group of people with a huge amount of knowledge. Esp good if you are thinking of doing track events.

Hey, this is Rob, I drove the Trans Am. Anyways, that was an awesome meet, I would like to do it again sometime! Also, here are the pictures I take, but don't be too judgemental, these were the first pictures I took with this new camera, I stepped up from a piece of crap Kodax CX4320 or 4230 something around there, low grade to a Sony DSC-F707, so I wasn't very used to this camera that I got that morning. Anyways, take a look.

By the way, I don't think I will be getting a swapped Civic anymore, I think I am just going to see if I can buy a $2,000 daily driver and keep the Trans Am on a low mileage insurance and drive it once a week to either Philadelphia street races, a meet, or the track.

Definitly next time I'm up there... I tried to make it but by time I made it to the KoP area, it was 5:00. I swung by the meeting place just to take a shot and it was probably long over.

We were still very much in the area as we didn't leave Champps until 630. Next time!

After hearing everyone on these boards go on and on about the need for "clears" on our cars, I finally agree; especially after seeing all these pics. So Dru (silver M coupe) and I broke down and ordered two sets yesterday. (clear side markers) Wish we had had them for those pictures this past weekend.

LOL, after seeing the pictures that is exactly what I was thinking. Where did you end up ordering from? I bought mine from LeatherZ and have been very pleased.

I ordered from Leatherz as well. they were only $37/set. So we ordered a set for each of us. I think those amber side markers stand out more on the silver coupe. So during the picture taking, I mentioned he NEEDED to change them. Then, after seeing the pics, I felt I needed to change them as well.

How does the weekend of March 4 look for people? I am assuming I will have my car back by then and Spring Break starts that weekend.

Maybe Saturday March 5, get started in the morning when traffic is light. Meet on Kelley Drive, take back roads out to KOP (RT 23, River Road, back roads in Gladwynne etc.). Lunch in KOP somewhere.

As far as I know, that's good for me. See how much interest there is. But count me in.
