I'm thinking of getting a euro box for my M3..and was told that some boxes can be loud.

anyone in s. Cal..ie Orange county has a 6 speed box in the m3 can chime in or that i can come by to take a look?

If it helps, I work in Irvine.

Thanks in advance.

I have one in my car. Not loud whatsoever. Just like a five speed at least. Il sell you mine if your interested. I also have one, when you shift into third it grinds and occasionally pops out for much cheaper. Definatly not loud though.

How much do you want for the good tranny? Also, can the problem be fixed with the bad/cheaper tranny? Im looking for a E36 Euro spec 6 speed to drop into my M roadster, does it also come with the driveshaft? Please let me know, thanks.

DDIZZY, aka Dale from Ground Control has a euro 6-spd in his M3. PM him if you have any questions. I personally would like a custom diff built by diffs online in 3.46l with a quaife lsd in 40% lockup with a euro 6-spd tranny.

I had a 3.38 diff with the six speed until I burnt out the limited slip in it. Temporarily I have a 3.15 and at 80mph, im at about 2900rpm. ;) I thought the 3.38 was perfect for it. But now since I am getting a turbo, no really need for the short gearing-6th gear..

I do have everything needed for the six speed, driveshaft, shifter linkage, also possibly the brace. I dont really know how much its worthright now, but if anyones serious, I guess pm me.

The broken gearbox I have heard is not repairable but..Would probably look to get maybe 900 for it?

You burned out the lsd on a 3.38 diff? At how many liles did it fail? What are the symptoms? Factory lsd diffs are at 25% FYI.

Plus, how much are you looking to get for your 6 spd tranny? What shape is it in? How many miles?
