View Full Version : BIG Aluminum Radiator (Ron Davis Radiators)
http://www.rondavisradiators.com/22193_aluminum_radiator_small.jpg
thanks to Bob Breed (http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/7583/radinstall.html), certain chevy radiators fit in the 320i w/ the only modifications being: custom mounting brackets & fan-delete. Bob Breed's radiator is from Ron Davis Radiators (http://www.rondavisradiators.com)
dimensions are 22x19x3 (it uses two 1" cores), w/ 1.25" outlets.

alright, i'm getting 4 radiators for sure.....i'm hesitant to do any more (as it's a lot of money for me to put up front). if anyone else wants in...i'd suggest we split the order in at least two: i buy/pickup 3 or 4 radiators, and someone else does the same (possibly an east-coast & west-coast purchases).
they might be able to entertain a group buy again (for an even lower price)....but we'll need a few more sure orders.
BruceH 02-07-2005, 10:55 PM They don't fit 323s.
AE101 02-08-2005, 12:07 AM I wish I still could, but I'm out.. :(
blitzed310 02-08-2005, 01:50 AM I'm in....
BoostedE21 02-08-2005, 11:29 AM I may not be in after all, the reason being.........I dont think it will fit. My intercooler is under my radiator and the turbo inlet pipe is next to it as well so I really dont think it will fix right now.
E21&E36bimmer 02-08-2005, 11:33 AM NE1 know why they don't fit the 323i?
TheNeek 02-08-2005, 11:40 AM Too thick me thinks.

323i uses a completely different setup than the 320i does. Rad is inset into the nose, and also has different hose layout. Totally different animal.
On that note, I have a 3 row Behr plastic and aluminum rad for an early 323i if anyone needs one. It's almost brand new, in perfect shape. Came with the M20 I bought a while ago. My car is an 81, which uses different mounting system, so it will not work for me.

teyster320 02-16-2005, 02:12 AM Griffin makes a radiator for Chevy configured outlets that can be had for $179.

I put one in my car, runs at mid temp gauge even when at the track in 98deg weather at 5200ft. (less air density = less cooling)
I have to admit that the hoses were somewhat tricky.
If anyone wants pics I can post some up.

I was planning on cutting that support out to move the radiator forward. If this radiator does not fit in that area for the 323 I'm not sure if it will work in my car. It may not clear the water pump pulley on the S14. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
