**We need some drive leaders for this meet. If you are interested in helping m3dragon with the drive please email m3dragon at events@mode6online.com or PM him**

The day’s events will go as follows. Meet and setup for a mini car show and have lunch. After lunch we will have a group chat and separate into the different groups for the drive. The drives are not a race or to see who has a better car. If you wish to showboat then take it to a track. m3dragon and those who volunteer to help me will not tolerate any showboating. If you do we will stop the drive and ask you to leave. Please respect others and others space while driving.

We will be meeting at Stanford Mall Again (m3dragon is currently looking for other venues but for the first large meet of the year we will start there) the start of the event will be at 11:00am and the drive will start at 1:00pm. We will have 2 drive routes. See Drive details below.

For those caravanning from Sacramento
We will meet at the CHEVERON off Industrial BLV. This is the exit on HW 80 just before you get onto the causeway heading to Davis. We will be on the leaving roughly at 9:00am. Please do not be late.

Drive details.
*Mandatory:
*EVERYONE who goes on the drive will bring a 2 WAY RADIO. NO RADIO no drive.
*We will be on channel 4.0 as group chat. (Do not talk to friends on this channel)
*If there is any sides of horse play or goofing off the drive will be canceled
*If an organizer asks you to back off, you will respect his(her) call or the drive will be canceled for that group. (Only takes 1 to ruined it for all)

Drive groups
1. *Spirited*. This is for those who wish to drive at a more spirited pace. Depending on the number of people it will be broken down into smaller groups based off number of drivers and skills of the drivers. m3dragon will meet with EVERYONE who plans on being in this group(s). If you have any issues bring it up with me at the meet. We will be going on a separate route than the group drivers.
2. *Group*. This is for those who want to drive as a group and go at a “Cruise” pace. This will have more than one leader spread throughout the group. This way if the group spreads out there will always be someone keeping a moderate pace that knows where they are going. This will be a club type drive. Get your cameras out and blaze away. Nothing more amazing than seeing a group of cars driving in a long formation.

These meets have grown from a humble 20 car beginning to 186 in our last meeting. m3dragon is sure that we will continue to get bigger with every meet and m3dragon is relying on all of you to help make these events happen by helping me with the drives or by spreading the word. These large meets are for all cars and drivers of all ages. As we all know what happened at last year’s final event, m3dragon is trying to make sure we avoid such incidents and make sure they never happen again.

FYI.
* m3dragon is currently working on track day. Once m3dragon gets the final info on cost m3dragon will post the details for everyone.
* m3dragon is also working on an autocross style event and will post on that event as well to be held at an airfield or a large fair ground. Details to come)
*In the end of June or first part of July we will do a Toys for Tots drive again. We will start to make this an annual thing to have 2 drives a year. There are always families in need so let’s all help out when we can.

Help spread the word and monitor the boards as m3dragon have only so much time in a day. Thank you.

BTW. For you vendors, you can come out and advertise at the event. But you must email m3dragon and not post. Those are his the rules. Don't kill the messenger.

We have no control over you getting your ass beat and we will not help you, rather we will watch the guy you cut off bitch slap yo ass!

I full agree with your statement. m3dragon has already taken this into consideration already. He said there will be a max 8 car group. There will be checkpoint where car will wait for the rest of the group. The leader of each of these groups will already know the route. Also, in the original post, it says that if someone screws up. The drive is over.

1 - I would agree but that is up to the people.
2 - That is a little much. That is why I need help (group leaders) if I do not have enough leaders than there might be no drive. These leaders MUST go on the test drive. No exceptions!!!!
3 - There are 2 drives. The group drive is on a different route than the spirited drive. There will be check points were all the groups meet up for pics then off to the next check point. This is kind of like a rally style setup. Keeping things organized will be the main job of group leaders.
4 - As mentioned before. 0 tolerance policy. You goof off you are gone or the drive is over. That is the group leaders call. Why we all might not be adults in age we need to step up and act like it for this occasion.
5 - Already addressed.
5a/b - I will personally file a citizens arrest on anyone who showboats or is causing unsafe conditions. If you think I am bluffing try me...

Yes I posted on a mustangs board. I would also post on a vette, GTO, another Subaru and EVo board. But I am watching all the ones I posted. So if you want to post it else where and watch it, be my guess. Any BIG meet I do is an all cars thing.

Hopefully everyone will be cool. I think the intermixed cars are great. The more the merry if you catch my drift. I have seen some mustang drivers go crazy but who knows it might be different. Won't find out till then but then again it could be anyone in any car!

anyways, whats up with not being able to go on the drive without a radio? what about going in between cars that have it. ive been on several drives and radios are nice, but its more things to have no room for that i use once a year :/

The reason for the radios is safety. We had some problems last meet and this is one of the things we wanted to implement to keep from having the same problems. Go in 1/2s with someone. That way it is $10-$25 depending on the model you get.

And it posted when the drive is "the drive will start at 1:00pm"

If it is raining we proably will still test the run. However I will not be in the M. I will make a call this friday.

Dude, no one is checking. It's just a very good idea to have one if you don't feel like getting separated, or if you want to have a clue about what is going on.

No test runs for 3/19/05. Because of the rain we will not make the test run as it is not safe. Look for the map of an alternate planned drive in the next few days.

Last time I went I had no radio I missed out on all of the shit talking though damn! Im bringing one this time though not like I think its going to matter anyways.

Yea, most of what went on was just talkin smack... funny stuff though. Most of the radios would only work 50 ft away in the hills... mine anyway.

damn i wish i can go, i was going to go but now i have to stay home and go to the dentist. this weekend i was in downtown san jose and some bitch ass guys started shit and started to jump my boy. i jumped in to save him but got jumped myself. 10 to 1, they went after us one at a time. now i am stuck with a broke tooth and awaiting a replacement tooth and missout on the meet. i was going to coem out but now i am stuck at home trying not to show my hilbilly look. (missing front tooth. if anyone has any info on some guys that jumped 3 guys on saturday night at san frenando and 1st and in front of "the temple" after the bar closed email me with their name and where they live.

With all this bad weather and seeing so many accidents i felt good to still have my car in one peace...spoke too damn soon...my dad insisted on taking my car out to the store today... He's driven it 3 times in the last 3 years ive owned the car....and i had a gut feeling something was going to happen before the Stanford meet...and unfortunately i was right..hit a curb and then tells me its my fault the car is too low. :mad

Sac caravan is meeting at the Chevron station at Industrial Blvd exit in West Sac. Its right on I-80. You can't miss it. Its the last exit before the causeway to Davis.

the sheriff came up to me and said that some people were wizzing by their station at like 3x the posted limit and that they had informed the CHP up ahead at our "destination"... and they were going to ticket people with no front plates. he basically told us to slow down, and it actually helped us because the directions that adam printed for the sprint group was wrong..... so the cop pointed us back on course :D i had a great time seeing you guys again!

Ok sorry for taking so long to post the event details.

Final car count was around 134 cars. There were 6 groups that went on the drive. Despite all of us getting lost, “talking” to the park rangers there were no issues this time.

However I do have bad new. Stanford mall will no longer hold the space for us as the merchants do not like the fact we are there. We can still meet there but we will no longer have security holding the space. ----So we now have to look for a new meeting area.---- If you have and idea were we can meet that has a large parking lot and facilities near by please let me know.

Schedule for drives and meets:

4/23/05 Invite meet only for Napa.
5/02/05 Drive to be determined
5/28 or 5/29 Meet and drive
6/16/05 Stanford Mall Toys for Tots Meet and Drive.
