My oil pan has been violated by road debry and I found a nice vented pan on a M30. So, I realize the engine displcmnt is larger, but does anyone know from experiance if an oil pan from an M30 will work on a M20?

No, M30 is much too large. Totally different design.

your talking about 1+ more liters than an M20

And a totally different block design and size. The pan will not bolt up without MAJOR mods. Sorry.
