ok, so its on backorder, but atleast I got my order in! :redspot
Crutchfield.com has started taking pre-orders.
Now I just need an amp and speakers to go along with it.
Anybody else going to get one?

I was planning on going for the 9853. I'm hoping the new ones do better with the iPod interface, because my 9827 is kind of lacking in that area.

the problems with the kca420i (ipod interface) have been there since they came out with it. Alpine is saying that the new line will have corrected those problems.

Update:
I cancelled my 9855 order and just went 9835.
Only real difference I saw was the glide touch and cheaper price, I didn't want to wait.

Thanks all.
Yeah, I like the CDA-9835 a LOT! The display is really cool. Sounds great too!
Now I just need to read the users manual, haha.

I bought it from a local car stereo shop, Traffic Jams in Buford, GA. They did my system install.

just got the 9835 due to a warrenty/damage issue during my sirius install (dont' ask)...
LOVE IT! though the damage caused keeps shorting out sirius units now... but so far i love it. still have to figure out all the feature... either way, great head unit. i bet the 9855 will kick serious ass too...
