As the title states, my VANOS unit is about to crap out on me. Evidently there is a bearing loose inside the unit. On top of that I have a leak in my power steering pressure hose. Joe Self BMW wants to charge me $1000 for the VANOS unit installed, and $370 for the power steering hose. Thank God for Pacific BMW, I got the parts for less than half of what Joe Self wanted. Still sucks to have to replace this stuff though.
