It's just not strong enough to handle the power of the m5. Greco540 02-02-2005, 07:28 PM Yeah, the clutch is the most underperforming part of the car. Vanos used to be an issue, but it has been resolved with a technical update at the dealer. M5 have no history of rad failures like 540's, or water pumps. CPS is common problem with 2000 models.
