I need some new tires for my 5er, and I found a place that use cooper tires. The price is $52 per tire, which includes mounting, balancing, etc. I've never heard of this brand, and I just want to know if they are alright. I'm not looking for anything top of the line, since I'm getting new rims this summer.

Cooper is a pretty big name in tires, I have them on my stock rims. For regular driving I don't see anything wrong with them, they're not a performance tire by any means though.

Well, for performance purposes, I'll be getting some rims, like I said above, so these tires will not be abused - I just need to have good grip on wet pavement
BTW, that's a really nice ass in you avatar.

you'll be fine with them, they're a good 'appliance' tire and get the job done for little investment. you may also want to investigate some of the kumho all season tires available to you.

Well, I can't speak highly of them. 275/40/17's I ran lasted about 8000 miles. Same size tires by BFG, Dunlop and Bridgestone all lasted a minimum of 20,000. Same driving conditions. All were Z rated with A tread wear. They were very quite however. Just my opintion.
