I'm looking to install front tweeters to compliment a sub. I was planning on mounting them on the side mirror door triangles (or whatever you call em). Does anyone know if E30 tweeters fit in the e21? I like the OEM look alot better than aftermarket tweeters. I would expect to have to modify them to get the shape right and to get them to mount. Anyone ever try this?

you could go to the e30 section and ask someone to give you the outside dimensions and if they are similar ask for a picture of the back side if its pretty flat buy one and try

jrcook, you have an awesome 320. Just went over all your pics, did a lot work but paid off in the end, car is better than new.

From that triangle it looks like it may be way off. I think a Jetta MKIII or IV will fit with very minor modification

it looks tall but IDK???

I'll see if I can't remember to measure both triangles in the morning. I've got my M3 sitting next to the e21 in the garage right now, and it (M3) has door tweeters. The mirrors don't match up on the outside (see the CF e30 mirror thread on here somewhere), but if you're lucky the inside triangles might. It won't take me long to do it, I just need to DO it.

I'll also test fit them anyway to see how bad they would look if they AREN'T the right size. I think the e30 ones are going to be a bit smaller, but they might be close enough to get by (at least for the REST of us....). Pics may be snapped....if I can find my little friggin camera (haven't seen it in a few months...damn tiny Sony thingy!).
