Hey all:
I have a 1978 BMW 316 with the stock wiring harness, and have a tii mechanical advance (002) distributor for it. Can I use the Bosch red coil on my car (as was used on tiis) and can I still use that coil if I upgrade to pertronix and remove the points? On a related note, does the stock wiring harness for my car have a built in ballast wire like later cars? Thanks.
