Anyone interested in a 2 day event at Mid America Motorplex in May. It's the Integra Type R Expo. They have been doing this since 2000 at different race tracks around the nation, and this year they are holding it at MAM. Go to the web site http://www.itrca.com/events/expo5.php and check it out for yourself. I'm registered

Just curious, but why not wait a couple of weeks and do the Iowa Chapter BMW school at MAM for less money and better instruction with people who know the track?

Or, better yet, wait until the fall and do the Missouri Valley Chapter Tribben Schnell Driving School! It's the cheapest school around and loads more fun than any other that I've attended....PM for info!

...let's not get into a flame war here. You can do both BMW schools :-)

BTW, I've signed up to instruct at the ITR school in May. A friend is running the event and asked if I'd help out. If you are interested in attending I'd get on the ball now because they are getting booked up.

FWIW, there are 2 Lotus Elise's signed up !!! :buttrock

I wasn't trying to get something started here, just the BMW vs. Acura thing (by the way, I have an integra too). Sheridan is right about both schools. Have you guys set a date for the fall school yet? I am in the process of setting our calendar on the website and I know that we talked about the fact that O'Fest is the middle of September this year.

Hey, is anyone other than Sheridan coming over for karting next Saturday?

If you can get me set up in one of the Elise's, I might think about coming over to instruct for that event too? :D

Scott,

I just didn't want people to start the DON'T do theirs do OURs war. While this is a BMW group we want people to make sure they support the BMW chapters (all of them).

We have not set a date yet on the fall DE. I'm having a hard time getting volunteers :shifty I may just propose we do a autocross school since no registration, event tokens, hotel, dinner, etc etc will be needed. I'm playing a part on the Iowa Chapter DE board and supporting you guys whole heartedly. If we chose not to do one I hope guys will show up in droves to yours.

Elise? I think one is an instructors and one a students. If I get at least one session in one I'll be tickled to death. I'm guessing one of them is AC Jetter with his yellow one. I offered my car to him for our fall school (04) since he was without ride (in hoping he would return the favor :devillook ) but he ended up not being able to make it.

I plan on being there for gokarting (haven't heard of any other Nebraska people coming).
