My M3 was backed into a few weeks ago by a kid in a paint company van, crushing the front by the kidney grilles & creasing the hood a bit. Based on the recs of a few people here and Roadfly, I took it to B-Line in San Jose, CA. Just picked it up last night, and it looks better than when I bought it last year. Ryan Oka was my guy over there, and he seemed knowledgeable and was friendly and very good to work with. They were sure to take care of a lot of little things that other shops might forget, just to do things *right*.

The only downside was that it took a little over a week, but that expectation was set right up front, so that's not a gripe I have with them -- just with life. Whine. Hell, I had the rental convertible anyway that just increased my appreciation of my M. It did have me looking at M Roadsters, though. ;)

They *might* charge more for labor than some other shops, but I think it's worth it for the quality of work. Especially if it's on the insurance guy's dime.

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation or interest (financial or otherwise) that is served by this recommendation, I just got good service and thought I'd put it out there.
