I'm going to get a pair of Schroth harnesses for my '01 M5. Can anyone tell me who generally has the best combo of price and service for these?

Can anyone tell me who generally has the best combo of price and service for these? m332is 01-24-2005, 10:51 PM I have always found Joe MArko at HMS Motorsport to have all the right answers re Schroth harnesses. Vince krisko 01-24-2005, 10:58 PM I really like Discovery Parts (http://www.discoveryparts.com), great service. sunir 01-24-2005, 11:02 PM looks like everyone is pluggin' their sponsors ;) :D ...I dunno since I've got simpson harnesses...no sponsor to plug :( krisko 01-24-2005, 11:05 PM looks like everyone is pluggin' their sponsors ;) :D ...I dunno since I've got simpson harnesses...no sponsor to plug :( Just plug diffsonline, nobody will notice they don't sell harnesses. ;) Ron @ Discovery is a great guy...nevermind the fact that we have a multi-year deal (uhh, yeah right). Redshift 01-24-2005, 11:05 PM Discovery doesn't list the quick-fit on their site, and HMS has a pretty decent price on them. I'll keep looking - thanks for the advice so far. Anyone else, feel free to chime in. Best price I've found so far is $229.99 for quick-fit from HMS. Redshift 01-24-2005, 11:16 PM I just e-mailed them. One thing I never see anyone inquire about is the stress being put on the seat itself, and the hinge point between the seat bottom and seat back. Everything else has been tested and proven, but how does a factory seat hold up to constantly having a driver belted in for 30 minute sessions with the belts TIGHT? I can imagine it puts a lot of un-designed-in stress on the seat itself. krisko 01-24-2005, 11:21 PM That is a retail price, won't do much better. You can check the classifieds on here for a used set or even ebay. I had my schroths for only 5 months when I went to a rollcage. I like discovery but in fairness HMS are the big dogs when it comes to Schroth products. Redshift 01-24-2005, 11:23 PM I have wholesale hookups that I need to check...but for retail, I like their site and if they are quick to respond to inquiries, I may go with them. Forum sponsors. Of course, HMS Motorsports. Jay JBgotM 01-25-2005, 10:39 AM I searched many places, I bought from them because their prices is the same or lower than about everywhere else..... and I have always had excellent service. No, this isn't a sponsor plug, but I would whore out for sponsors if anyone is looking at this post. ;) alexd 01-25-2005, 07:32 PM I have had good experiences with HMS and Joe Marko does a lot for our Club so I will put a plug in for him. :D Redshift 01-25-2005, 07:34 PM I bought them from HMS today. Thanks all  |
