dm635 01-22-2005, 02:58 PM made it to 100 posts right here, right now!!!where's the fire works and trumpets?as much as i hate to type, and i'm still a slow 2 fingered typist,it doesn't seem that many.there's good company on the 6 site here,no BS.that's why i've made it to> insert shameless plug> POST #100.there's a lot less desirable boards to find.
even OT here it can get a little rough, they get down.dont want to play games..here,try to help with advise if if can and little in return when needed.that's what it's about, right?
i'm on a few other bds.,and it's hard to find one you like.this is one of the good ones.thanks.
96 328ic 01-22-2005, 03:11 PM congrats on the 100
evlgt85 01-22-2005, 06:51 PM I think the shameless post requires a pic of the 635.
Shark Bait 01-22-2005, 09:41 PM Agreed! Post a pic or two. Can't look as bad as mine.
evlgt85 01-22-2005, 10:34 PM Bah, post yours, too! It's not about the condition of the car, it's about the commitment to the car. At least you have one... :(

bumbavfan 01-23-2005, 11:00 PM DM,
Congrats on the 100. Nice car BTW.
dm635 01-24-2005, 02:34 PM thanks evlgt85,your help is greatly appreciated.my 6 can now be seen with your help.now if someone could tell me how to add one it to a sig or transfer a pic or 2 to the F/S ad i have here on bimmerforums.this car is F/S for only $2000 so i can purchase an 86 635 that is white.i'm afraid i'll draw too much attention in the red one.they're both about in the same starting point.i'm not making any money on the deal, just trying to aquire the 86 and give someone a chance to own this 85 at a reasonable price.once i start feeding this baby the $$$$ she is hungry for,and deserves,i'll be keeping this one.thanks again evlgt85.
NHenson1 01-26-2005, 08:55 PM DM635 whereabouts are you in louisville??
BumblBeeRacer 01-26-2005, 09:20 PM Is that an M badge?
dm635 01-26-2005, 09:59 PM DM635 whereabouts are you in louisville??
actually i'm in shelby co.,about 30 miles from louisville.i lived in crestwood for 6 yrs before moving here.i grew up around cherokee park/highlands area, moved to houston for 12 yrs, nashville for 6yrs,now back in the bluegrass.how about yourself?cant know too many enthusiasts, right.
dm635 01-26-2005, 10:28 PM Is that an M badge?
yes that is an ///M badge on the trunk.i'm not making it look like an M6.the dumba$$ that had this car before me had an M6 badge on the front grill, roundels stuck all over the place and what really looked tacky were the,4 inch white stickers on the front and back windshields that proclaimed"M6 POWER".all that crap came off within 15 minites of delivery, after taking the initial pictures.i know the emblem must come off,it wont pull off so i'm going to try the dental floss trick.i didn't want to mess with the paint.
THIS IS NOT an M CAR and i'm in no way portraying it as such.thanks for bringing it to my attention though. obviously someone thought by adding all the junk to it, they convinced their-self it was and probably had everyone who saw it bust a gut laughing.it did look like a joke.i am unable to contact previous owner,i got it from a guy that gets his cars at auction for resale.
the previous owners name is 'hussain al-bahad@#$' and wont return my calls.he may think i'm some crazed american going to put some baghdad action on his a$$.
BumblBeeRacer 01-26-2005, 10:53 PM Ok good reason 8), at least you removed some of it so far.
dm635 01-27-2005, 10:22 AM it's all removed except for the ///M.i'll try to remove it today.
i would hope anyone checking these pics would not think it's being shown as an M6.nowhere in my ad does it contain any mention of an M car.IT's STRICTLY AN '85 635csi,nothing more, nothing less!!!the garden variety 635 is nothing to be ashamed of.very fine car.
Interested in your 6. Could you email pics of interior, trunk and engine bay to
mah@vista-express.com
Would you pleas PM me your phone number?
Thanks,
Mark
beatniks325 01-28-2005, 02:13 PM nice looking 6. i think people were just giving you a hard time for having an M badge on the car. I don't think anyone is accusing you of false advertising in your ad :)
good luck with the sale.

i know,i'm not taking it personal at all.i'm not into badging a car what it's not.just want to let any prospective buyers know the truth.that's way i'm making it perfectly clear to all,not anyone in particular, sorry if it seemed that way.i'm not attacking.
there's plenty of people that are into that.you may fool some but not all, then the jokes on you.
beatniks325 01-29-2005, 12:57 AM i hear yeah. like i said, good luck with the sale. the 6 series has a special place in alota people's hearts. I'd love to have the 635, and I'd do just about anything for a mint black on black M6 :buttrock :buttrock know what i mean?
Shark Bait 01-31-2005, 01:03 PM Hey DM, I only wish mine had decent paint. When I took the badges off the back, not only because they were on wrong, but I needed to do some serious buffing on the paint, it still left shadows. On a red car, this is going to be even more pronounced. If the badge hasn't been on that long, you shouldn't have a problem. I've decided to leave mine off completely.
Good luck on the sale, seems like alot of interest. BTW, did you pick up the other one?
dm635 01-31-2005, 04:20 PM mike,no i haven't been successful in selling the 6 yet so i haven't been able to procure the 86.i know as soon as i start putting money into the 85 i'll get some serious calls.i cant see putting more money into a car that i may sell.if i dont get a buyer soon the 85 will become a keeper.i removed the ///M badge but cant tell if it's left a shadow,it's in the garage and the lightings different.i wish i had the cash to own 2 6'ers at the same, but that would confirm everyones acusation that i'm car crazy.i'm always being accused of fanatically maintaining my cars.do i have a problem or is it them?i say it's them.if i had to drive cross country right now,i wouldn't hesitate in jumping into my 216k mile car and taking off.well, maybe an oil change 1st.
