As long as that Turbo isn't in GTS3 (doubtful) then bring him on down. Should be a great time as long as it doesn't snow (same event last year was snowed out).

Well Chris with the info through the grapevine is Porsche turbos mmight not make as much power as your Sunbelt motor :eek: If what i heard is correct you have no excuses this year not to be bustin some heads in IP ;)

Krisko brotha I think Damion is right....we expect you to promptly outqualify the entire field and set fastest time in the race :D ;) ...after doing this for a few weekends, perhaps lock up the IP Champoinship halfway through the season and call it a year :stickoutt ...hahaha lol :)

Yeah, that sounds like fun. My real goal is to not only enter a few BMWCCA races but actually get to race in them...I'm less concerned about where I actually finish.

The 3.2 will be basically a stock block, P&P head, schrick cams, Kromer headers, etc.etc. Which will all be controlled by PMI new acquisition; one of the 2 AEM engine management which we will be testing for the first time that weekend...

The 2.8 is something else, I will start another thread once we are done with it... We hope to achieve 325ish hp! :buttrock

I was victim of a snowed out event at VIR last year, I think it was a BMWCCA DE... The registrar of the event called me to cancel litterally when I started the truck to get on a 12 hour drive to Virginia... Thank God he called me right away.... :eek:

Classing in GTS is easy, hp/weight ratio. Check it out here (http://gtschallenge.com/Rules/2005rules.htm). Just remember it's the weight w/driver divided by hp at the wheels.

For the 2.8, that sounds about right for a built up DM spec motor. WC motors make 300hp and they are fairly limited, and thats a 2.5L! BUmp it up to 2.9l, hotter cams, more head work, bumper cr, and 325 is pretty easy to achieve :)

from what I gather most all prepared class cars fall into GTS4 or GTS3...while the Mod BMW's fall into GTSU.

And they changed the classing for 2005...many IP cars can run slicks now and stay in GTS3. There is also a GTS5 now. I would suspect IPs are GTS3, HP would be either GTS3 or 4, DM is GTS5 and CMs would be GTS5 or U.
