Any other Bimmers coming? sunir 01-22-2005, 08:12 PM probably not going to be able to make it...but best of luck to you, Alex, Seb and the rest of the PMI/Army DQ team... :) krisko 01-22-2005, 11:36 PM I'll definitely be there...trying to convince other BMW racers to show up. Track time is cheap, I think it's $295. chuckbilodeau 01-23-2005, 12:34 PM probably not going to be able to make it...but best of luck to you, Alex, Seb and the rest of the PMI/Army DQ team... :) Thanks.. Should be a great time... But please try to make it... Would be so cool! :redspot chuckbilodeau 01-23-2005, 12:35 PM I'll definitely be there...trying to convince other BMW racers to show up. Track time is cheap, I think it's $295. I`m trying to get some cars from up here too! Even trying to convince the owner of a Porsche Turbo! :D krisko 01-23-2005, 02:46 PM I`m trying to get some cars from up here too! Even trying to convince the owner of a Porsche Turbo! :D As long as that Turbo isn't in GTS3 (doubtful) then bring him on down. Should be a great time as long as it doesn't snow (same event last year was snowed out). Steve J. 01-23-2005, 06:46 PM We are planning on going, I`m going to swap the 2.8 for the 3.2 for that weekend... Any other Bimmers coming? What are the general specs on the 3.2? Is it competitive? qwickm3 01-23-2005, 11:58 PM Well Chris with the info through the grapevine is Porsche turbos mmight not make as much power as your Sunbelt motor  If what i heard is correct you have no excuses this year not to be bustin some heads in IP ;) sunir 01-24-2005, 12:16 AM Well Chris with the info through the grapevine is Porsche turbos mmight not make as much power as your Sunbelt motor  If what i heard is correct you have no excuses this year not to be bustin some heads in IP ;) Krisko brotha I think Damion is right....we expect you to promptly outqualify the entire field and set fastest time in the race :D ;) ...after doing this for a few weekends, perhaps lock up the IP Champoinship halfway through the season and call it a year :stickoutt ...hahaha lol :) krisko 01-24-2005, 12:16 AM Well Chris with the info through the grapevine is Porsche turbos mmight not make as much power as your Sunbelt motor  If what i heard is correct you have no excuses this year not to be bustin some heads in IP ;) :devillook Shhhhhh! :devillook krisko 01-24-2005, 09:04 AM Krisko brotha I think Damion is right....we expect you to promptly outqualify the entire field and set fastest time in the race :D ;) Yeah, that sounds like fun. My real goal is to not only enter a few BMWCCA races but actually get to race in them...I'm less concerned about where I actually finish. jonmacs22 01-24-2005, 10:27 AM As long as that Turbo isn't in GTS3 (doubtful) then bring him on down. Should be a great time as long as it doesn't snow (same event last year was snowed out). actually same event last year was sunny and 65. krisko 01-24-2005, 11:57 AM Some NASA event in virginia was snowed out in Feb, maybe it was summit point. chuckbilodeau 01-24-2005, 12:34 PM What are the general specs on the 3.2? Is it competitive? We`re just swapping the motor for the weekend... I don`t really care about classes, I just wanna be as fast as possible :buttrock The 3.2 will be basically a stock block, P&P head, schrick cams, Kromer headers, etc.etc. Which will all be controlled by PMI new acquisition; one of the 2 AEM engine management which we will be testing for the first time that weekend... The 2.8 is something else, I will start another thread once we are done with it... We hope to achieve 325ish hp! :buttrock chuckbilodeau 01-24-2005, 12:39 PM Some NASA event in virginia was snowed out in Feb, maybe it was summit point. I was victim of a snowed out event at VIR last year, I think it was a BMWCCA DE... The registrar of the event called me to cancel litterally when I started the truck to get on a 12 hour drive to Virginia... Thank God he called me right away.... krisko 01-24-2005, 12:55 PM Classing in GTS is easy, hp/weight ratio. Check it out here (http://gtschallenge.com/Rules/2005rules.htm). Just remember it's the weight w/driver divided by hp at the wheels. Steve J. 01-24-2005, 01:03 PM We`re just swapping the motor for the weekend... WC motors make 300hp and they are fairly limited, and thats a 2.5L! BUmp it up to 2.9l, hotter cams, more head work, bumper cr, and 325 is pretty easy to achieve :) sunir 01-24-2005, 01:03 PM from what I gather most all prepared class cars fall into GTS4 or GTS3...while the Mod BMW's fall into GTSU. krisko 01-24-2005, 02:51 PM from what I gather most all prepared class cars fall into GTS4 or GTS3...while the Mod BMW's fall into GTSU. And they changed the classing for 2005...many IP cars can run slicks now and stay in GTS3. There is also a GTS5 now. I would suspect IPs are GTS3, HP would be either GTS3 or 4, DM is GTS5 and CMs would be GTS5 or U. krisko 01-29-2005, 10:57 AM Chuck, Can I rent a car from PMI for the Mt. Tremblant race? How much, and is that in US or Candian? Send me a PM or email me. chuckbilodeau 01-29-2005, 07:28 PM Chuck, Can I rent a car from PMI for the Mt. Tremblant race?
