Does any of our vendors offer this in transmission and rear differential fluid for our cars?
I believe the rear diff. fluid should be 75w-140, or was that the transmission fluid? I forget.
People that are using aftermarket fluids, which one did you go with and your impressions.
Input/advice appreciated.

They do offer all of those fluids. What part of the country are you in? I run the engine oil at this time. Will run all their fluids with each next change.

RP > Redline.
The Diff fluid is 75W-140 "Max-Gear". Tranny is RP's "Synchromax" MTL.
I run them both in my M5. Awesome stuff.

I ran Redline Shockproof Heavy in the diff on my E36 and was really happy with it. I'll hav e to call Redline to see what would work best in the diff of the E46 though.

2 quarts of each is what you'll need.

m-phibian -
I went to their website and it says this: "Manual Transmission Fluid» Synchromax® is recommended for manual transmissions that specify automatic transmission fluid, multi-viscosity motor oil or straight grade motor oil."
Just want to make sure that synchromax is what I am looking for. I see that it sells at Pep Boys. Wow -- I thought it would be one of those hard to find things like BG products. Makes me wonder how good it can be if Pep Boys sells it, heheh ...
Thanks, two quarts each ...

Yep..that's the one No Soup. It's great stuff. It actually makes the Getrag feel "no so" notchy.

NoSoup4U,
I just bought some Redline D4ATF and 75W90 for my car, a 01 325Ci. I will be changing my transmission and differential fluid soon. If you wanted to get together to help each other out, I would be interested. There is an awesome place over here in Virginia to get fluids from if you want. Let me know.

One thing to keep in mind about Redline, it is not API approved to meet GL-5 spec, as required by BMW like RP is. Redline only "recommends" their product for applications that require GL5....a play on words. I would not trust it to remain stable for extended street use.
