Is this common? Friend got an SC on his E46 with a LTW flywheel but it stalls a few times a day when decelerating. Should he switch back to the regular dualmass flywheel?

Any suggestions are appreciated as we've replaced the idle valve, bypass valves, etc.

even with the ltw flywheel and sc i would think that the cpu would control the idles. if it was bad the idle would be rough but i would think the sensors would control it. other than that i have no clue man

Its very common, best solution switch back to avoid stalling problems.

when i had my e46 with my ess i did a uuc stage 1 and had no problem, i guess depends how light the flywheel is.

Its probably not S/Charged.

Its probably not S/Charged.
Isn't it trivial to raise the idle a few hundered RPM's? That would fix the problem.

Does it usually happen when coming to a slow stop at a traffic light? If so, it's a vacuum boost problem from using the brakes. Can be fixed by adjusting driving style when you let the clutch in.

Its not an easy fix at least not on a 540-96, from 98(540) its easy to adjust idle in the ECU program but not in my car. its simply because the rotating mass is so light.

Iam not getting it driving slow to a red light - rather the opposite - when doing full throttle for a longer time and then going to a sudden stop. the engine dies or almost dies.
