I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem installing hid's into an e36? I recently intstalled a zkw's with a stock bmw hid kit and my obc goes off. Has anyone encountered this problem, and if so, what can I do to fix it?

some trigger it, some don't. Its on because the car is looking for a 55w draw and your pulling 35w thus it thinks the bulb is out.

You can add load via a resistor type things to fool it but this generates heat and wasted energy. You can also bump up to 50w ballasts which fixes the problem, increases lumens but reduces bulb life.

There is also a fix by messing with the electronics monitoring the draw but that one is more than most want to experiment with.
