The thought is that we will have a meet every 4 to 6 weeks, alternating in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Our first official meet will be in Oklahoma City and will probably take place sometime in February. Details of the meet are being worked out.

Hopefully everyone will not only attend the local meets, but will also attend the meet in the non-home city.

Anyway, be sure to tell your friends and spread the word. If we can generate enough interest we may start a club :cool

Well, I say we just start something. Maybe we could develop a name and logo for our club and get a website going. Not too difficult. We could then start to collect names/emails for the people that want to be part of it...

Hey Jed and (Brandon?)... We should probably jump back to the other OKC, OK thread and setup the plans for the first meet in OKC. I'll be down in Florida on the weekend of Feb 19, so anytime other than that is fine with me.

You guys know more about what to do at these meets than I do, so I'll let you make the plans. I don't anticipate it being very big at all. It'll probably take a couple organized events in OKC and in Tulsa before we start getting a decent turnout. That should put us on schedule to be doing fairly well once summer is on...

The next meet would be in Tulsa and would probably be towards the middle/end of March or the first weekend in April. I'll be out of town the weekend of March 26 so I wouldn't be able to make it if it is planned for that weekend.

Anyway if you guys want to get together sometime before the meet with some of your friends up there that'd be cool... we could try to figure out what we want to do about forming a group and possibly talk about names for it and logos and such. I'm free pretty much anytime over the weekend of the 28th if that's good with you guys...

sounds good. either way the drive will be about 2 hours for any of us. now suggestions on what we should do. i am thinking we can meet up, then maybe eat somewhere, go cruising, and if it is near brandon's bday (get a few drinks; not enough to get drunk though since we need to drive). i would prefer somewhere noticeable by traffic so people can gawk at the cars.

well right now i think it is OKC for the first one on February 5th. i got a few VW/Audi people who want to tag along as well if the meet is in OKC. next could be Tulsa then Wichita or whatever. ok lets throw some ideas out where we can meet. i have a few. The Taco Cabana on I-240 (same as the 240 meet). Crossroads mall parking lot. its pretty dead in the evening. Bricktown... say the Coca Cola center. thats all from the top of my head.

Coca Cola center sounds good....especially for a saturday night....thats the night that Bricktown is poppin....plenty of people there...but...however....i think that is either a pay parking lot or private on saturdays....we will hav to chek this saturday i guess....um.....thas all i can think of right now other than taco cobana....but with that.....there is construction there.....only the people on the freeway would see it......hmmm.....hey jed....lets take a look saturday night....before we do anything..

I like the idea of rotating a big meet. Maybe not once a month, but maybe quarterly. That would be pretty cool. The only thing is Im moving to California in July, so i dunno.

I’d offer some suggestions on where to initially meet up but I’m not too familiar with the area up there. When I’m up that way I usually just go to the airport. Been to Bricktown a few times, and to Norman a bunch of times, but that’s about it. I’m sure whatever you guys come up with will be just fine...

Anyway, when we come up with the details we need to start a new thread. We should announce it in here and PM the people who have already responded within this thread. If we can get 8 bimmers up there for this first meet we’ll be looking pretty good.

On one particular trip back to Ada from the airport when I was picking up a buddy of mine from Michigan, I encountered a black 325i on I-35 South at I-240 where I got on. We stayed with each other until I had to exit on Main Street in Norman by the Red Lobster.... I wonder who that was... You guys know anyone with a black 325i up there?

not off the top of my head...although i do see quite a few black bimmers around...but none that hav it for the true quality....i saw this dude as i got outta class today.....had a black 318is......man....looked like shit....shows how much of a tru bimmer guy he was....he pulled up next to his buddy in a like 92 accord coupe.....ya...they started rev'n at each other.....one word says it all...."RICER"

i dont really know anyone with a black 325i. actually there i know of 2. one is a vert that has an insane drop and the other is pretty classy but has enormous chrome rims. most the guys i know have either tis or e36 M3s. that reminds me. ill have to call my friend Rene. he has an E46 M3 and last time i talked to him it was in the shop since he lost control on a road that went from asphalt to dirt (without any warning signs).

From the sounds of it, this first meet should be pretty cool. If some of the people you PMed show up we won't be looking too bad... I'm hoping that I can get my bimmer ready in time for this meet too. Time has been hard to come by, though, and I didn't have a chance to work on it this weekend. Instead I spent the majority of the weekend hanging drywall in the guestroom :(

Does anyone have the tool to reset the air bag light? The body shop let my battery go dead and now this stupid light is on. Much appreciated if someone could bring one of those little gadgets to the meet!

Too far....for a bimmer meet? No way...I agree that it may be too far to grab a Big Mac but not to get a bunch of bimmers together with no civics allowed. I think the Tulsa Guys should get together and convoy to OKC that day, if there are any other Tulsa guys.

How long would that loop that you're talking about take? I'd go for anything around 45 minutes or so. The longer the better...

ok we will figure something out this weekend. hey btw i just picked up an ///M illuminated shift knob for $20. had to rewire it but it is perfect.
