vtbimmer 01-14-2005, 05:01 PM Depends if you want it for looks or you drive really f**kin fast.
m3brad 01-14-2005, 05:02 PM The lines of the E46 M3 are so good, I think the only way you can improve on them is to install a CSL trunk. Take a look at mpowerme's car in another thread. That is perfection
happy 01-14-2005, 05:06 PM That csl trunk is awesome....ok what about this is this rice?

Exactly. That's the first significant thing i am doing to the new M3. Love the CSL trunk. :jump3
540i6sport 01-14-2005, 06:07 PM With a spoiler like that I have to ask if wings shoot out from underneath the driver and passenger doors, too. A "Transformer" in disguise as a bimmer:buttrock
jblack 01-14-2005, 06:18 PM If you have to ask - it is....
And, where are all you guys going to get CSL trunk lids....they are not the easiest and cheapest thing to get.....
happy 01-14-2005, 06:34 PM If you have to ask - it is....
Wow that is deep...and so very true.

DINANISR3 01-15-2005, 04:19 AM I actually like the ACS racing wing. It is functional and puts down force on the rear end, proven in a wind tunnel. I wouldnt put it on my car if it was stock or pretty close to stock. IMO only certain heavily mod'ed M3's can pull that wing off. I dont know whos car this is but I think this looks hot. :buttrock

Serious 01-15-2005, 05:15 AM certain cars can pull it off, some cant.
i saw one LSB car wth it and it looked pretty good.
Antwerp 01-15-2005, 02:50 PM I just don't think any wing belongs on any BMW... Maybe it's just me...
i saw a LSB m3 with that wing and along with other ACS body kits too. and they look so freaking sick. that car was the reason i bought my m3 :D

:) thanks for the LOL!
Are those wings bolted into the trunk with screws or is it attached a different way? That would suck if you ended up not liking it and now you were stuck with 4 holes in the trunk.
Here is a pic attached below.
It loos a bit like the wing used on the M3 GTR streetversion, only the pieces on the sides are way bigger on the GTR:

Also wings are functional, only you have to be very fast... The Hartge one I have gives 50% more pressure on the rearwheels at 200 Km/u (125 MPH) at the highest setting. It feels more stable than before even though my rear shocks are shot. It will however depend on the airodynamics (angles etc) how much effect they have.
Alpine Pete 02-02-2005, 04:05 PM I'm pretty sure they sell it at Turner Motorsports in CF. On the right car I think it looks hot
