That's cool. I think I have Sunday off. More than likely the bar that is in there to open the door came loose from the loop (usually plastic) or the loop is broke.

Mojo325is
01-14-2005, 02:15 PM

ok, after talking to one of the techs, and they can almost bet that the interior door handle is broke.

Item #7 (door handle) $11.79
Item #8 (cover) $3.11 almost garanteed to break when removed.
Item #11 (arm) $0.69
Door lock mechanism $71.78

Mojo325is
01-14-2005, 05:14 PM
so would i need the locking mechanism as well? or just the cover, arm and handle???

Mojo325is
01-14-2005, 05:25 PM
i guess buy the other parts and then see if i need the locking mechanism.....then get that later?

NascarSigEp
01-14-2005, 05:34 PM
Is your door handle really loose? If so, just get the handle and the cover. These are my prices, so I would need to get them.

If there is some resistance on the handle we might have to investigate more.

Mojo325is
01-14-2005, 05:44 PM
no resistance on the handle....

are you available sunday?? :devillook

NascarSigEp

I was put into timeout before because of it on the cougar forum I was Moderator of. Late nights and too much time at work is a bad thing. I racked up over 200 posts in one 8hr shift.

Mojo325is
01-14-2005, 06:46 PM
the four door screws, i have none on the passenger side and only one ghetto one on the drivers side.....

yeah, we used to whore it up really bad, especially when OT used to count. When I lived in Lincoln, I could do 20 posts a day at least.

NascarSigEp

Project, I've got a couple friends that live in Lincoln. One drives a dropped silver Contour SVT on 18's. The other drove a silver 99 cougar with a kit and now drives a white 1g turbo talon.

Damnit! they don't have the handle or the cover instock and it won't be till tuesday till they get here. I got them ordered anyways. I have the screws. Damnit this really pisses me off. I'll still come over on Sunday and help do a diagnosis.

Cool. Doesn't ring a bell, but I pretty much just go back and forth to work these days. I don't even get out to the local shows anymore. Being a boring old married guy and all....plus I have too many projects waiting at home....

Being a boring old married guy and all....plus I have too many projects waiting at home.... Yeah, Lincoln is pretty spread out. What do you signify as old? I'm 25, but I'm a hermit and stay home a lot. The only bad part about that is that the computer is in my girlfriend's baby's room. :(

Dark Helmet
01-14-2005, 07:16 PM
Armen is 25, so is Greg, Justin is 23 IIRC, I'm the old fart at 26, and married over 4.5 years...

which is why my dimentia is so much more advanced than theirs....

Mr Project
01-14-2005, 07:19 PM
What do you signify as old?(

You're only as old as you feel. Most days, that puts me about 46. :D Driving an old man's boat every day doesn't help. :D

Dark Helmet
01-14-2005, 07:26 PM
trade ya, as is.

Dark Helmet
01-17-2005, 12:54 PM

Mojo325is
01-17-2005, 01:15 PM
jeremy, I thought you always took the touring out on O street to cruise with the fellas and light up a few ricers??? :D

Dark Helmet
01-17-2005, 01:21 PM
its not habitual, but it has been known to happen,..... :D:D:D

Mojo325is
01-17-2005, 01:33 PM
funny story, I was on I-80 Saturday around 4:30 on my way back to Omaha, driving in the right lane at a leisurely 75....a couple of teenage ricers in a civic that looked like it was held together with bondo, spit and a prayer kept trying to bait me in the left lane. I ignored them the whole time, but it made me want to have the draft reinstated for just a brief moment....

NascarSigEp
01-17-2005, 01:45 PM
Yeah, Jeremy started Star city when he sold his cougar and bought his first Talon.
