I am considering ordering a new m3 with only the clubsport pkg, these are some of the ?'s i have...
1. Is a deposit mandatory?, if so how much have some of your guys put down?
2. If the car comes in but if things change and I could not get it would i still be forced to buy it?
3. I've heard some stories of getting money off from ordering, is that true and whats the avg. you got off.
thanks in advance:round

Congrats.
Some dealers require a deposit when ordering. This way if you back out, they still get something. It all depends on the dealer.
No, they cannot force you to buy it with just a deposit. You just may not get it back.
You gotta work a deal with the salesman. Usually they do not discount new M cars because they don't have to...people want them.
Good luck!

no its not mandatory, but its a sign of good faith. $500 check will do. dont worry they wont cash it.

no.. you have no obligation to buy. just simply ask for your check back and walk away.

yes.. when ordering any car or buy from the lot.. you can negotiate your discounts and or free options. such as floormats, garage door opening, CD changer...

No, though most dealers do ask for a good faith deposit.
WHich by law MUST be refundable.
They can not make you purchase the car... I walked around and checked mine out, inside and out, before I signed on the dotted line.
If there had been a problem with it, I would simply have asked for my deposit money and walked.
Discounts are a dealer specific, and or reigon specific thing.
Some places are willing to be a bit more flexible on price/options, while others will even charge sticker+.
Shop around till you get the deal you want.
Oh yes, If you order "Individual" there will likely be a Special Order Charge; aka- deposit ($2k and up) - which may NOT be refundable, till the dealer sells the car.
