Hey guys, just purchased a CPO 2002 X5. It is silver and I don't know why I didn't notice this, must have been due to the fact that we bought the car close to dark and under flkourescent lights.

The paint color under the hood is white, not silver. This also goes for everything under the hood. I am heading to the BMW dealership in about an hour and going to check another one out to make sure they didn't try to cheat us and make us go after them for fraud.

Can someone with a titanium silver X5 let me knwo if theirs is the same way?

It just doesnt' seem right.

Actually, had the VIN ran last night. Everything was ok. I just got back to the dealer and looked at 3 other X5's and all had the white under the hood. Guess it is normal.

quick question, how much did you pay for the 2002 X5, and how many miles did it have, trying to find one for myself without getting ripped off.

We got the car for $42,500. It has about 39,000 miles on it but comes with the nice 100,000 warranty. We shopped around a lot but it was hard to find a silver/black 4.4 that was this loaded. I think we did ok, especially from a dealer.

Good luck on finding your X5. I am very happy we went with this instead of an Infiniti FX45.
