Hey guys, I just installed an Alpine CDA-9827 headunit to replace my factory one. My next step is to get two 12" subwoofers and a good amp for them.
Can anyone recommend a good amp to power 2 of these:

also if anyone can recommend a better sub for under $200 that would be great.

Thanks,

I would never buy form crutchfield. They are way too expensive. You can either buy online w/o warranty for about 1/3 less or jus go through your local dealer. Every dealer I have talked to has been very negotiable with their prices.
As for subs in that price range, I'd go for either the elemental designs 13kv.2 (125) or 13ov.2 (190), the re se(150ish(?)), alpine type r2005 model((100-150(not yet released)) , diamond m6mkII (180)(I have two of these; awesome sq, decent output for 2 10's), diamond cm3(90), or the alpine type x (about 240). I think just about any of the subs I listed would be better than the infinity kappa perfects with the exception of the cm3. BTW, prices I gave are online prices and with the exception the re and elemental dont include warranty.
Now for an amp, hifonics makes decent low priced amps that are a little overrated but still are good amps. The elemental designs nine.1, which I own, is an awesome amp and puts out 1500w at 1 ohm and over 1000w at 2 ohm. It costs 350 through ed.

Resonant Engineering (RE)

CHeap online stores

www.acaraudio.com

I would never buy through any of those cheap online stores but they are a good reference for pricing.
Hope that helps and spend lots of time researching. I kind of got my mind set on the diamond m6's too quick and now I am dissappointed witht the output. Im not saying the output of the m6s is bad, infact its actually pretty dam good, but I just want something LOUD now.

ED is a good choice. Lots of bang for the buck. Check out resonant engineering reaudio.com. the SE line is a great choice and would cost about 200 bucks shipped a pop for a 12"
