I was at the strip last night and got to talking with the owner.

There is a road course at the same facility and they are having a lapping day this sunday starting at 8:30 am. Cost is $75

He asked me to spread the word so there you have it! :)

It's a fun little course and it's pretty cheap for track time, hope to see some of you out there!

I wish it were closer, I'd see you there. I'm from Gonzales orignally. I've been to that strip, but haven't seen the road course. My nephew races a black 82 camaro there quite a bit. I may be down there around May or so to visit. Do you now if there are events planned through the year, or can you get track time anytime it's available?

Thanks for the info, and have fun.

Too bad you won't make it!!

There are events throughout th eyear. IDK about lapping days (I think they get put in whenever there is an open date) in particular but the PCA and BMWCCA both put on DEs and the track can be rented out to private groups.

There is a calendar on the website but it's better to check the websites for our local PCA and CCA:

http://mg.pca.org/

http://www.bayou-bmwcca.org/

I know the Ferarri club and corvette guys also go there but I am not as familiar with them.

That was worth it! Had a great time and encourage others to go out and do the same. I got to push my car to the limit. :buttrock

:D Indeed!

I had to get 17's after I dropped her and put the Konis in. And after going through my last set of tires in only a few months, I figured it was wise to actually have a set of wheels for track use and one for the road.

Now I need to get the 'job' mod for myself. Then I can spend even more money on car toys!
