Yeah... is there any chance someone would be so kind as to lend me a wheel/tire for the left rear of my M3? Actually, doesn't matter if it's wider or not because currently the right rear is a front wheel (non staggered). I'm currently using my spare and to my delight discovered this morning wires/something poking out from the inside of the wheel... also felt like some tread has been torn off. Faulty tire, bad alignment, the result of running 1 staggered wheel??? I don't know... all I know is I'm lucky I made it to work this morning without it blowing and I'd rather not take the same risk heading home. Thank you! Oh, it would probably help to say I work in Old Town Alexandria. If an E46 325Ci or E36 328 offset worked, I'd just borrow a co-workers.

What? I don't have another spare or AAA and I'd like to get home safe.

Sorry, I'm re-reading your post to figure out WTF you're talking about ;)

I think running a 1 offset tire may be causing you problems. Is that 1" offset or 1mm offset? :confused

A little cord showing is fine to drive home on.

Call 301-585-2740 NOW and get Sam or Paul to order you a set of tires. (They'll probably give you a better price if you tell them Nick sent you.)

I was wrong, it's more than a little cord... the whole inside of the tire is gone... torn clear off. I'm lucky it didn't blow on me this morning. I'm guessing that's the THUD my wife and I heard last night and I said well that didn't sound good :( :embarrasm

My bad on offset, I meant staggered :rolleyes

Nick, who is that number for? I need tires for both the X5 and M3 and was just gonna hit up Tire Rack. Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico for the X and PZero Nero M&S for the M.

No one has a spare wheel with a tire mounted sitting at their house or in their car near alexandria :(

Not with your offset my friend. Your best bet would be to pony up the $30-50 ... and get something from sear's (landmark mall) or discount tires (on duke street). This way, it takes care of you until your tire comes.
