Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting one of these replica ABS plastic E36 M3 front bumpers. They aren't OEM but they also aren't fiberglass - and they include the OEM front lip, mesh, and mouldings. At $199, they are a deal! The downside? The shipping charge: $80 each. At $280, they're only $70 cheaper than a proper OEM bumper from the dealer.

Is anyone else interested in one of these? They'd be good for cheap-skates like myself for our street cars or as cheap replacements for you local 30-year-old-wannabe-club-racers on your track cars. I'm thinking if we can get 5 or so people, ship them all together to the same place, we could save a reasonable amount on the order.

u know, i bet if you went thru someone at a dealership and got a few people together, you might be able to get the safety and security of an OEM piece, at the replica pieces price.

i should strap one on my E46, hehe

No one's interested? :(

Their first offer for multi-item group purchase was $10 off each.

I asked about the rear bumpers.

How can a piece of plastic cost so much money?

Well find out the wholesale OEM rate.
Wholesale is usually 20% off BMW list, unless you buy over $50,000 per month. That's what I sell to all of you for :devillook (CCA only is supposed to be 10%)
What most people don't realize is that it's just not a front bumper cover that comes complete. You need to buy new bump strips, center mesh grill and clips, lower lip and clips, brake ducts etc...
I'll try and figure out a price on Monday for those in the area interested. I'll post a diagram pic with a list of all you need to swap.

The non-taxed wholesale is more than 20% off, no?

At the dealership I get parts from (Crown BMW) the CCA discount is 20%. I don't know if that is off list but I am assuming it is. I would have thought the parts manager would get a pretty nice discount. None the less let us know what you come up with.
