Jean-Claude 12-29-2004, 11:40 PM Dad's garage is always fun for a Sat. night.
Callaway gardens if you don't mind a nice little drive.
Helen if you want some sweet air brushed redneck shirts. :stickoutt (anyone remember, "Dale Earnhart deserved to die"? LOL)
Dave and Busters with a group of your friends for a night out.
ermmm...thats all I can remember atm.
BabyM 12-29-2004, 11:45 PM hopefully she'll meet some dude and go marry him
:shifty :stickoutt
Surely ATL has something interesting going on for New Year's Eve?
R Revolution 12-30-2004, 01:02 AM For dinner take her to Cafe Istanbul or Efes. Really good restaraunts. I'd recommened CI though.

Yup, that place is pimp. Just be patient to wait to get your food. They're really really busy.

Gotta love Intermezzo. If you're in the mood to gorge yourself, try Fogo de Chao... it's my favorite place in town, though it'll break the bank if you go for dinner, so be warned (~$60/person dinner, but all you can eat salad and the meat keeps on coming!).
Ted's can be unique for those that haven't tried bison before. Or the Varsity if you want to drown in grease... mmm.
Centennial park could be an interesting stop.
Sigh, I miss Atl... hope this helps though. :D

Peach Drop? :dunno
I'll be in my warm home drinking, watching people freeze their arse's off on TV.

I agree with the good calls on the following:
Fernbank- Martinis and IMAX
Fogo de Chao or Teds- Fogo isn't bad if she turns out to be meat-hating hippie. The first time I went there on a blind date, she turned out to be a vegitarian. Luckily, they have a salad bar the size of a pickup truck. Also, Beluga's Martini Bar is next door if you can stand the schmaltz, blue hairs and cigar smoke.
Cafe Intermezzo- Fantastic cheesecake and within walking distance of Ted's.
BabyM 12-30-2004, 01:24 PM Peach Drop? :dunno
:lol
That would be awesome!
Unfortunately New Orleans has no such fruity mascot (except during Mardi Gras when they come in pairs)
joecoolinatl 12-30-2004, 03:43 PM haha i havent been to nola in months,
and then for deserts go to Cafe Intermezzo

Doctor Wha 12-30-2004, 05:36 PM FWIW, tonight is the final nght of the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Chihuly installation. Nifty show, and especially cool lit up at night. They'll be open until 8:00 PM. You can park at the Colony Square Sheraton for $2, and take the free shuttle to the ABG gate.

xatlas0 12-30-2004, 06:52 PM If she likes indian food, there are a couple of good places, like zyka on scott blvd or madras bahva (also a ways down scott blvd, such that it becomes lawrenceville highway at that point, i think) i don't know the exact spelling, but the food is fantastic. It's kinda on the way back if you are coming from fernbank. the food is nice and spicy if that's your thing. Big Daddy D's is also a good place, if you feel like bbq. (never had fried bbq before i tried it there) Downside is it's kinda in a shady-looking part of town, so it can freak out some people. All those places are pretty cheap, so don't fret about breaking the bank.
2K5 325i 12-30-2004, 07:14 PM can't go wrong with Waffle House.
(yes you can)
Boy, Wild Bill's was off the hizzle tonight. Stood in line for well over two hours but it was well worth it. Tomorrow night (new year's eve) should be even better!

Often Jesse (DinanM7), myself and my girlfriend go out on Thursday nights to Wild Bills. We should have a "Dance" meet there in 2005. :D
BillF 12-31-2004, 04:37 PM Are you kidding? The place to be at midnight is at the Big Chicken. Once a year it takes a dump at midnight. Quite the spectacle I am told. :fartman
