I'm gonna tint my windows this week sometime and have a couple questions. How long does it normally take and does anybody know where would be a good place to have it done? Thanks guys. :D

Hi Jessica - need some help with that tinting??? ;)

Sorry - just couldn't resist. It took a tint guy about 1.5 hrs to do my Integra all the way around, and he was moving pretty quick. I imagine it'd take someone around 2-2.5 hrs your first time around at least if not a bit longer. Takes a while to do a good job.

BTW, anyone have any suggestions for good mountain roads in GA? I will be down visiting Jessica for New Years and we want to go flog on the Zed. Thanks in advance.

I think you are the only member in the Gainesville area unless you are gonna drive all the way to Atlanta for a tint job. I suggest ask people at your school or go look in the phonebook. 2-3hrs is about right and just remember not to roll your windows down for at least 3 days maybe longer since its so damn cold. And dont use windex to clean the inside of the windows from now on unless its ammonia free, just in case if you didn't already know that.

If you're ok with driving to the Pleasant Hill Road exit on 85, I recommend Oasis to everyone. A few guys got their cars done there a few months ago and got a pretty good discount I think. Regular price for a coupe is $159. There's some info in these threads about Oasis and other shops. He can have it done in a little over an hour if you decide to wait.

I do not know if the trim panels are like the ones in the E39's if so to properly tint the windows they will need to be removed or pulled loose (good luck just as easy to remove) it took about 3 hours for mine with my help. If you don't mind riding to Marietta there are a few good shops or I can forward my friends number but he just moved to Carrollton (??? ask me why I could not tell you) but that is a pretty long drive but he does great work

Lake Park Dr and Village Pkwy area. We may pass each other all the time but that freaking traffic it is hard to check out other cars sometimes. We need to come up with some kind of Tag or decal (small and nice looking not cheesie) or some way to ID a member. There's no telling who passes who and does not now there a member. I work next door to Anna she is the only member I have spoken to (I know I need to come to a meet been busy lately will try to make the next)

I went to Solar Eclipse in Buford and they did a great job. They were already familiar with the e36, so that helped a lot.

Took them under 2 hours, IIRC. Not too bad at all. That's one of those jobs you don't want rushed.

They sell 3M film, and I hear that stuff is pretty good. Guaranteed not to bubble or turn purple. I am happy with it.

Their number is 770-614-1750 and they are located in the strip mall across from Mall of Georgia... not too far from Waffle House and Kinko/FedEX.

Nice looking car Rodney, props.

Thank's for the prop's.

Nice set of sleds you've got there yourself.

Nothing beats a Titan E39 with a fat lipped set of wheel'swith 25mm-30mm offset, wrapped with Lo/Pro ZR tread's.
