I just bought my first BMW. It is a 99 528i with Sport and Premium package, and currently has the factory 17" wheels on it. I found a set of iForged 20" wheels - 10" rear and 9" front, and am wondering if 20's will rub on this car.

I plan on buying 275/35/20 rear and 245/35/20 front tires.

Did you match the tire sizes?

If just you in the car, you probably wont experience any rubbing on smooth roads, but with passengers in the back you definitely will rub even on the slightest little bumps if your gonna get 35 series rear tires. I would suggest you get 275/30/20 for the rears. Plus with 20's it would be wise to roll the inner lip of your rear fenders too and get M5 liners.
