Well, guess what I got for Xmas?

A nice Craftsman Alum Floor Jack....just like Beastmaster & JP! :D

Now I have 3 alum. and 1 heavy, very heavy steel jack. Sometime in the future I plan on getting an AC Hydraulic jack from the Ultimate Garage.

DYI anyone?

maybe if you get enough jacks you can trade them all in for a lift. :D

Yeah, I figure I'll deal with jacks, like how you deal with cars :D

I don't have a Sears jack. I'm just your generic kinda guy so I have the Checkers jacks.

Maybe we should host all the DIYs at thrlls house and when Nancy comes around, we can all say that a lift would be nice. Then maybe there will be a lift in his garage for Xmas '05!

BTW, I burned my turkey! :mad

She would probably go for something like that, but the roof needs to be raised, and that I know will not happen :(

I noticed both Craftsman ($179.99) and Powerbuilt ($99.99) aluminum jacks were on sale in today's newspaper advertisement. Does anyone know which one is lighter?

Dirk - They are both @ 44 lbs.

Bryan,

Thanks. So they are still kind of heavy to take to track then (but much lighter than my heavy Costco jacks :( ).

The other jack I have is 33 lbs, but is a 3000 lb capacity with single piston. 44 lbs is still manageable.
