jteef 12-23-2004, 01:48 AM the toyo proxes fz4's fucking suck in the snow after 12k miles of use, which is contrary to everything i've been touting since last winter. I had a nice 300 yard sideways skid down I-15 tonite. No damage as I wasn't going fast and the car slowed once it hit the powdery shoulder instead of the packed road.
#2 I"m leaving tomorrow afternoon and the clearfield city pd towed my truck because they thought it was abandoned (sitting in front of my house) and it didn't have utah registration (it did have valid missouri registration???) Granted I dont check it much since its kind of out of the way and I never drive it, so there could have been a note or notice on it warning me of the impending tow, but not on either side window and i never noticed one on the front. As a result, i have to go to the trouble of putting my uniform on tomorrow so my bitching at the dmv will be taken more seriously, get my truck out of hawk, go to work for about 6 hours, and make it to the airport by 4. just a little whine and rant directed towards the local bacon (no offense Johnny)

Sure it does, number 1 through 4 applies. If it was left there, and the cop thought it was abandoned, he removed it.

I want to set the record straight. I THOUGH the COP was a PROSTITUTE.

1-4 does not apply. the car was parked in front of my house. the asinine decision the cop made in assuming my car was abandoned is what makes him a pig.

It doesn't matter if it's in a road or in front of your home on private property as stated in the law. If it sat there and was untouched and just left there, one would think it was left abandoned. Who knows, maybe it was the calling of your neighbors that thought you were the pig with an abandoned truck in front of your house that led to the complainant? I know I certainly would call if a abandoned truck was left sitting in my circle causing an eyesore.
Not trying to argue with you man, I just don't get why the name calling of someone doing there job is justified? Actually, I take that back. I do know why, because that's usually the case when anyone deals with the cops and it is not in their favor, they resort to name calling or slanderous remarks. Maybe that's societys way of handling things. :dunno Do you know this cop? Or you just labeled him as a "pig" because he towed your abandoned vehicle?
jteef 12-23-2004, 01:47 PM I have had relatively few interactions with police in my life. been pulled over 5 times and given tickets on 3 of those occassions. 2 were legitimate. My next door neighbor called the police on me every single day one summer for being loud at night. eventually i made friends with the same 2 cops who came every day but their whole attitude was wrong from the start. A detective tried to badger and coerce my sister into confessing to a felony she didn't commit with no evidence and assumptions that make you
I respect that somebody is doing that job, but based on the experiences i've had and those of friends/family i dont respect the authority, thought process, and decisions of most police officers. The fact that somebody is a police officer should be enough to garner respect, but it isn't, due to the actions of some(and it isn't just a few).

No sweat mang, sometimes I get a little wrapped up in this thankless job myself. :( Everyone criticizes you for everything you do. The other day I farted in my cubicle, next I was called into Internal Affairs for it. :( :rolleyes
SehrSchnell 12-23-2004, 11:43 PM I made a snow angel today:D [/subtle topic change]
Hmm, that's odd, I did the same today! Although mine didn't go as smooth, after the tenth stroke, I remembered I have two dogs and I was in their yard. Umm, the snow is not that deep and my angels now have racing stripes.
