Mr Project

Well, it's the holidays, and time once again for my "Here is my latest project" thread. I figure if I'm going to call myself "Mr Project", I need to back that up once in a while.
So, a couple of months ago my wife and I got it in our heads that we would host my family for Christmas. Not a big deal, right? Well, in this case that means 19 people. In our house. If you've been in my house, you know that there is no place to put 19 people at the same time, let alone the loud crazy people I seem to be related to. :)
So, we decided to re-do the basement. In short, this meant the following things would have to happen:
Knock down wall in basement.
Tear out all old shag carpet.
Tear down all old wood paneling (everywhere)
Tear out old ceiling.
Install new recessed lighting.
Install insulation in ceiling.
Install new windows.
Install new switches and outlets.
Re-frame around stairwell and rear walls.
Hang all new drywall on walls and ceiling.
Mud and tape everything.
Paint.
Have new carpet installed (the only part I didn't do).
Long story short, we did it. And by "We" I don't mean my wife and I, I mean everybody that came and helped me bail out of this stupid decision I made to do this so quickly. My official thank-you list(In no particular order)
Shawn - captain destructo
Non-Bimmer Greg - tall enough to tear down ceiling
Justin (94-E36325is or whatever) - Ceiling drywall holder par excellance and truck helper (but not #3, sorry)
Pastor Troy - drywall expert
DasMafia - moral support
Mike D. - super-sander
Becca D. - great with a vacuum
Jordan P. - real, actual drywall expert
My Family: - Noelle, Sean, Preston, and Mom.
And of course, my wife, who helped a ton and didn't complain about the mess.
Thanks to all these wonderful folks, in the span of about 6-7 weekends, we turned this room:
